Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to work with client teams, project managers and contractors on complex infrastructure projects. You will monitor costs, manage procurement, and administer contracts while ensuring compliance and accurate records.

Ideal candidates have a degree in a relevant subject, experience with civil infrastructure, and familiarity with UK contract forms (NEC, ICC, FIDIC, JCT). We value collaboration and professional development.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with client teams, leadership, PMs, contractors and internal managers.
• Monitor project costs and ensure delivery within budget; validate costs and payments.
• Provide regular input to financial reports for client confidence.
• Support procurement by evaluating and appointing contractors.
• Administer contracts and ensure compliance; review change orders and keep records.
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks; support value engineering for performance.

• Collaboration - Working in the client team with leadership, project managers, contractors, and internal managers.
• Cost Management - Monitoring project costs to ensure the project is delivered within budget. Validating contractor and supplier costs & payments.
• Reporting - Providing regular input to financial reports to ensure our clients have confidence in their project outcomes.
• Procurement - Supporting the procurement team in evaluating and appointing contractors.
• Contract Administration - Administering various contract types, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions. Supporting with contract change by reviewing validity, quotations and ensuring timely submissions and agreement. Working closely with the team to maintain accurate and comprehensive project records.
• Risk and Value Management - Identifying, analysing, and mitigating commercial risks. • Working towards membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent, recognised body.
• Ideally degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
• Experience in civil infrastructure projects preferrable.
• Experience with common forms of UK Construction contracts such as NEC, ICC, FIDIC, or JCT preferrable.
