Remedy Staffing has an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Purchasing Manager for one of our esteemed partners. The Assistant Purchasing Manager will assist the Purchasing Manager in managing and coordinating the plant's purchasing activities.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

1. Managing raw materials inventory, including estimating and calculating usage for over 500 raw materials, placing orders with suppliers, and ensuring inventory aligns with production demands.
2. Negotiating with vendors and suppliers to secure the best prices and terms, including price, lead time, and quality issues.
3. Training and supervising purchasing staff to ensure efficient operations.
4. Developing and implementing strategies for cost reduction and inventory management.
5. Engaging in new business development with local or foreign suppliers.
6. Assisting in planning the production schedule of the plant.
7. Monitoring inventory levels and analyzing variances for monthly and annual closing.
8. Maintaining production and raw material data in the company's database.
9. Assisting in purchasing and supplying raw materials for new production lines.

Working Location

• Far South in Von Ormy, TX

Working Schedule

• Typically during business hours, with possible schedule adjustments for end-of-week, month, quarter, or year reporting.
