State-of-Minnesot seeks a capable attorney to provide criminal defense services for indigent defendants in district court and to juveniles in delinquency matters. You will interview clients, prepare briefs, and conduct legal research under general supervision.
Responsibilities include representing clients at arraignments, pre-trial hearings and trials; negotiating with prosecutors and coordinating with social workers and judges to determine appropriate defense strategies.
Under general supervision, performs work of routine difficulty in providing legal services to indigent defendants who have been charged with criminal offenses in district court, and to juveniles who are alleged to be delinquent in the juvenile court.
