Job summary

MAA is hiring an Assistant Property Manager to lead rent collection and leasing efforts at a multifamily community. You will handle resident accounts, deposits, and move-out inspections while delivering strong customer service to current and prospective residents.

The role emphasizes organized office management, sales-driven leasing, and teamwork within a dynamic property-management environment. This position offers growth opportunities within MAA.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of Assistant Property Manager and/or Leasing experience.
  • Bookkeeping skills and/or experience.
  • High school diploma/GED, Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collect rent and ancillary fees from residents, including delinquent accounts.
  • Post income and deposits and perform bookkeeping tasks.
  • Inspect apartment homes after move-out and assess condition.
  • Sell and provide customer service to current and prospective residents.
  • Lease apartments and support office operations.

The Assistant Property Manager will be responsible for collecting rent and ancillary fees from residents, including collections of delinquent accounts; posting income and deposits; inspection of apartment homes after move-out; sales and customer service with current and prospective residents; leasing apartments; office management and support.

Qualifications

Property Manager for an MAA Community leads all aspects of community life and above all – quality customer service. The Maintenance Supervisor leads and coordinates the maintenance team through repairs and maintenance of property facilities and apartments. Assistant Property Managers support the operations and financial performance of the community, handle the collections process, and assist with leasing. In other words, they wear several hats! An Apartment Maintenance Technician performs maintenance and repairs to ensure apartments and facilities are in top shape. A special role for an MAA community, a leasing consultant supports leasing operations, interactions and communication with residents, and assists with community events and marketing activities.
