Job summary

The Property Management Company, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support the Property Manager in leasing, rent collection, and tenant recertifications across our affordable housing portfolio.

Familiarity with Project-based Section 8 and LIHTC is advantageous, and strong communication and organizational skills are essential. You will handle correspondence, financial tracking, implement procedures, and strive to keep properties fully occupied.

Qualifications

• Property management experience preferred.
• Experience with affordable housing programs (Project-based Section 8, Section 202, LIHTC) preferred.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws helpful.
• Experience with Yardi is helpful.
• Computer literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Property Manager in preparing initial and follow-up correspondence on all matters relating to the property being managed.
• Assist the Property Manager in the collection of income and the management of expenses including tenant receivables and maintenance reports to maximize economic benefit.
• Administer the day-to-day implementation of a standard operating procedural manual.
• Assist Property Manager to process tenant recertification, including verification, certification, annual and interim recertification, and maintain leases as needed.
• Assist Property Manager in maintaining 100% occupancy of building at all times.
