Job summary

Universal Development and Construction LLC is seeking an Assistant Property Manager in Tennessee to support day-to-day operations, leasing, and resident relations. This hands-on role works closely with the Property Manager to drive occupancy, maintain resident satisfaction, and meet financial goals.

You will assist with rent collection, budgeting, records, and vendor coordination, while ensuring compliance with housing laws.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Solid communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Working knowledge of leasing, operations, and property management preferred.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and property management software.
• 1+ year of property management experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• CAM, CPM, or ARM certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support daily property operations, leasing, and resident relations.
• Assist with rent collection, delinquency management, and financial reporting.
• Help maintain accurate records, lease files, and property data.
• Assist with budget preparation and monitoring property performance.
• Respond to resident concerns and help ensure a high level of customer service.
• Support marketing and leasing efforts to maintain strong occupancy.
• Coordinate with vendors and assist with invoice processing.
• Help oversee unit turns and ensure apartments are move-in ready.
• Conduct property walks to maintain community standards and identify issues.
• Assist with scheduling and supporting on-site team members.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable housing laws.
