Job summary

The Vanderbilt YMCA, part of the YMCA of Greater New York, is seeking an Assistant Property Manager in New York, NY. The role supports the Property Director with maintenance of building systems, safety, and compliance across facilities at Vanderbilt YMCA.

You will supervise maintenance staff, coordinate preventive maintenance, and respond to emergencies while ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety for members and guests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; degree in facilities management or related field preferred.
• At least 3 years' experience in property/facility operations; 5 years preferred.
• Building related certifications preferred.
• Project management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of building systems such as HVAC and electrical.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist Property Director in financial plan development and budget management.
• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Respond to emergencies and be available 24/7.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and manage work orders.
