Job summary

Pinellas County Housing Authority is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support daily operations at one of our residential communities. You’ll work closely with the Property Manager, stepping in when needed, handling admin, customer service, compliance, and problem-solving.

The role blends administration with tenant relations and required HUD program familiarity. If you’re organized, people‑savvy, and proactive, this could be your ideal fit in public housing operations.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a related field (Bachelor’s preferred—or equivalent experience).
• Strong organization and communication skills are essential.
• Comfort applying rules fairly and consistently in a housing context.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing daily housing operations and step in for the Property Manager as needed.
• Interview applicants, show units, explain lease requirements, and lease apartments.
• Conduct income eligibility exams, recertifications, and maintain waitlists.
• Counsel residents on rent issues, handle delinquencies, and support eviction processes when necessary.
• Collect rent, post payments, prepare bank deposits, and monitor receivables.
• Prepare vacancy, delinquency, rent roll, and operational reports.
