Job summary

IMM - Investors Management & Marketing is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support daily apartment community operations and leasing activities. The role includes showing units, following up with prospective residents, and closing leases while ensuring prompt, professional handling of resident concerns.

The ideal candidate will assist with inventory and maintenance of supplies, collect payments per policy, and perform inspections.

Responsibilities

• Assist the property manager with the daily operation of the apartment community.
• Assist with leasing operations: follow up with prospects, show units, and close the sale.
• Manage resident relations and handle complaints promptly and professionally.
• Oversee care, maintenance and inventory of supplies and equipment owned by the property/management company.
• Collect all monies owed by residents and follow the IMM collections policy.
• Perform property inspections and document deficiencies; direct staff to repair/replace items.
• Coordinate move-out inspections and unit turnover processes.
• Adhere to OSHA standards and company safety policies.
• Maintain knowledge of management and community policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for assisting the property manager with the overall daily operation of the apartment community.
• Responsible for assisting with the overall leasing operations of the apartment community including following up with prospective residents, showing apartment units and closing the sale.
• Responsible for resident relations and handling complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Responsible for the care, maintenance and inventory of all supplies and equipment owned by the property and/or the management company.
• Responsible for collecting all monies owed by residents and following the IMM collections policy.
• Perform property inspections and documenting deficiencies as well as directing staff to repair or replace any items found.
• Responsible for moving out residents, conducting move-out inspections and overseeing the unit turnover process.
• Be aware of and always operate within OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and company safety policies.
• Responsible for thorough knowledge of management company policies and property community policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Abilities and Knowledge Needed
