Job description

Commercial property management runs on details. Lease abstracts, CAM reconciliations, vendor invoices, tenant walk-throughs, monthly reporting packages. Lincoln Property Company is hiring an Assistant Property Manager in Nashville to help keep those details in order across commercial, industrial, or retail assets.

The day-to-day here is genuinely varied. You might spend a morning reviewing vendor invoices against the management agreement's authorization limits, then shift to coordinating a tenant move-out walk-through in the afternoon, then close out the day pulling data for an operating expense reconciliation with the accounting team. Lease administration runs through this role constantly: lease setup, amendments, system updates, reporting. The Property Manager sets direction, but this role carries real execution responsibility.

Tenant communication is a significant part of the job. When a tenant reports a building issue, you're the person making sure the right people respond and that the resolution actually happens. That means working across administrative staff, building technicians, and vendors without letting things fall through the cracks. Written communication matters here because a lot of this coordination happens by email, and clear documentation protects everyone.

One honest note: commercial APM roles can carry a heavier administrative load than people expect coming in. CAM reconciliations and budget prep aren't glamorous, but they're the work. Strong candidates tend to be people who find that kind of detailed financial work satisfying rather than tedious, and who can move between a spreadsheet and a tenant conversation without losing their footing in either.

What Lincoln is Looking for

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • One to two years of experience in commercial property management or a related field
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills; experience with AP and CMMS platforms is a plus
  • Comfort with financial concepts: percentages, basic analysis, reading through lease financial terms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational habits and the ability to deliver on deadlines without constant reminders
  • This position is fully in-office in Nashville; remote or hybrid work is not available

Lincoln manages over 720 million square feet of commercial space across the country, which means this role connects to a large institutional platform with real training and mentorship infrastructure. For someone early in a commercial PM career, that kind of organizational depth has practical value. APMs who build strong CAM and lease administration skills here tend to move into Property Manager roles with a solid foundation that's harder to get at smaller shops.

If you know your way around a lease abstract and take vendor invoice accuracy seriously, this is a role worth taking a close look at.
