Qualifications

  • Professional certification preferred (COS, ARM, CAM, RAM) but not required.
  • Knowledge of state and federally assisted property regulations, acts, and guidelines.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.
  • Effective communication with residents and employees.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Property Manager with bookkeeping, marketing, and lease preparations.
  • Ensure proper resident certification, re-certification, and compliance with HUD or other regulatory requirements.
  • Market the property in accordance with Fair Housing Regulations and management agent guidelines.
  • Submit reports required by the management agent and mandated by federal, state, or local government agencies.
  • Maintain office files for all business and financial records; credit accounts and deposit all monies received.
  • Assist the Property Manager in inspecting the property to ensure building and grounds are properly maintained and propose necessary repairs.
  • Respond to all resident requests and complaints.
  • Assist with any other tasks as assigned.
  • Perform PQI duties as assigned by supervision and the PQI committee.

Volunteers of America Mid-States (VOA) is a non‑profit organization spanning four states that creates positive change in the lives of individuals and communities through a ministry of service. We provide housing for families, veterans, and low‑income seniors and care and support for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Job Summary

Assist the Associate Director with the daily operations of the property, managing administrative duties for internal and external agencies, and maintaining positive relationships with residents.
