Job summary

NewCastle Management Group is seeking an energetic Leasing Consultant to market and lease luxury apartment communities while delivering strong resident services. You will maintain professional communication with prospects, residents, and vendors, oversee leasing staff, and support monthly resident events.

The role requires experience in multifamily property management, proficiency with RealPage, OneSite, and Knock, and the ability to work weekends.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a supportive environment for residents and oversee leasing staff and vendors.
  • Process move-ins and move-outs and accounting duties.
  • Assist in collections procedures and legal actions as needed.
  • Manage renewal processes and distribute notices.
  • Update reports reflecting resident and property statistics.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of resident and property files.
  • Provide excellent customer service and handle resident complaints.
  • Collaborate with property management staff to prepare units for move-ins.
  • Support event planning and participation for monthly resident events.
  • Be prepared to cover duties in the Property Manager's absence.
  • Uphold company policies and applicable Fair Housing laws.

Detailed Job Description
  • Maintain an acceptable and supportive environment for all residents and oversees site leasing staff and vendors.
  • Process move ins and move outs accounting duties.
  • Actively involved in any collection procedures and legal actions.
  • Manage the renewal process.
  • Distribute company or community-issued notices.
  • Update and maintain reports so that accurate resident and property statistics are reflected.
  • Efficient and timely processing of all required administrative items.
  • Responsible for overseeing proper maintenance of all resident and property files.
  • Courteous, efficient handling of resident complaints.
  • Creatively sell with the ability to provide strategic marketing ideas and plans.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with prospects, residents, co-workers, and vendors.
  • Ensure timely response to all communications, including voicemails and emails.
  • Work with other property management staff to ensure that turned units are ready for move-ins.
  • Deliver top-notch service to help ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and retention possible.
  • Help to create and analyze property marketing efforts.
  • Support Property Manager with planning, advertising, facilitating, and participating for monthly resident events.
  • Be prepared to fill in where needed in the absence of the Property Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of relevant landlord-tenant laws.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated working experience in the areas of multifamily property management practices and processes, including Fair Housing laws and regulations, building and grounds maintenance, resident relations, leasing, rent collection and eviction procedures, and property safety.
  • Proficient in use of property management and accounting software. Experience with RealPage, OneSite, and Knock preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office programs.
  • Availability to work weekend hours required.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Property Management.
