BKM Management Company is a growing firm seeking an Assistant Property Manager in our Northern California office. This role supports the Senior Property Manager in overseeing a portfolio of properties throughout the Bay Area.
The position requires in-office work at least 5 days a week.
Essential Functions
Administrative Duties
- Support the property team with various ad-hoc projects.
- Code and submit invoices daily through AVID/Yardi accounts payable system.
Assistant Property Management Duties
- Generate bi-monthly accounts receivable and collections reports with detailed notes for senior and corporate teams.
- Respond to tenant work orders promptly and ensure completion.
- Complete tenant billbacks monthly and submit for approval prior to processing.
- Set up job codes and input capital contracts in Yardi for unit rollovers and capital projects.
- Review and complete tasks in ASANA.
- Prepare vendor contracts and cancellations.
- Maintain tenant information database.
- Assist in preparing annual operating budgets and reports for each property.
- Assist with annual operating expense reconciliations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in real estate or a related business discipline preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in commercial real estate property management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and administrative abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Yardi/AVID experience is a plus.
- Motivated, results-driven, with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
