Sync at Mueller is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to join our team! Do you have at least two years of experience as an Assistant Property Manager and are still a leasing pro? Do you have a passion for creating an inclusive and fun community for your residents? If so, apply today! Valid Driver's License required, and APM must work one weekend per month.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Property Manager in all aspects of daily property operations, including full operational responsibility in their absence. Perform leasing duties as needed. Work on weekends and overtime when requested.
- Complete accounting and bookkeeping tasks, prepare financial reports, collect rent, and use property management software for financial tracking.
- Manage lease and application paperwork, move-ins, move-outs, lease renewals, and notices.
- Handle resident move-in and move-out processes, evaluate applicants, and communicate policies.
- Maintain account records, process payments, and ensure timely rent collection.
- Initiate evictions when necessary, ensuring all legal procedures are followed.
- Conduct apartment inspections at move-out, document damages, and assess charges.
- Assist in managing community operations, resolve customer issues, and support property financials.
- Maximize rental income and occupancy through sales and customer service efforts.
- Support the Property Manager in financial and operational management.
- Maintain knowledge of community operations, lease terms, and enforcement.
- Participate in training and meetings, and perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required.
- At least two years of multi-family experience required.
- Experience as a multi-family assistant manager/bookkeeper preferred.
- Experience with P&L and budgeting.
- Proficiency with property management software (e.g., ResMan, Yardi, Onesite).
- Strong customer service and initiative.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- Must work one weekend per month.
- Valid Driver's License required.
