Job summary

RHO Residential in West New York, NJ is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Manager/Supervisor to support the Maintenance Manager in keeping the community safe, clean and well‑maintained, and to assume maintenance duties in the Manager’s absence. The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent, fluent English, and 2–3 years of property maintenance experience with some supervision.

EPA certifications, pool operation and other licenses are preferred where applicable; competitive benefits

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; English literacy required.
• Ability to perform basic to intermediate math functions.
• Technical certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain property's physical condition per safety standards.
• Process service requests and repairs promptly.
• Assist Maintenance Manager with scheduling and prioritizing tasks.
• Ensure vacant units are rent-ready in a timely manner.
• Supervise maintenance staff and outside contractors.
• Maintain inventory and purchase supplies via PO system.
• Prepare staffing schedules within budget.
• Maintain preventative maintenance program.
• Uphold safety programs and hazard communications.
• Maintain grounds and exterior areas.
• Snow removal and sidewalk upkeep.
• Be punctual and reliable.
