Job summary

RHO Residential in Weehawken, NJ is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Manager/Supervisor to support the Maintenance Manager in keeping the community's physical condition and safety standards at the highest level. This role involves supervising maintenance staff, coordinating service requests, and ensuring timely turn-key readiness of vacant units.

Responsibilities include maintaining inventory, overseeing safety programs, and coordinating with contractors while ensuring compliance with company

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; ability to read/write English fluently.
• 2–3 years in property management maintenance or related field; 1 year supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with basic to intermediate plumbing and electrical repairs; technical certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain property condition according to company safety standards.
• Respond to service requests and repairs promptly and correctly.
• Assist Maintenance Manager with organizing and prioritizing tasks.
• Assist with turn-key operations and rent-ready units; perform turn-key work as required.
• Schedule and supervise maintenance staff and outside contractors.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and tools; purchase supplies using standard PO system.
• Prepare staffing schedules to stay within budget.
• Maintain preventative maintenance program to minimize emergencies.
• Adhere to safety programs and promote safe work practices.
• Maintain all grounds and exterior areas in neat condition.
• Snow removal for sidewalks, entrances and common areas.
• Be punctual and reliable.
