Job summary

ExcelliSearch, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Superintendent for a heavy civil highway project in the North Tampa Bay / Hernando County area. This onsite, full-time role backs the Project Superintendent and oversees subs, foremen and crews on FDOT work.

The candidate should have 5–7 years of heavy civil highway experience with FDOT contracts. Local Tampa Bay or Central Florida candidates, or those willing to relocate, are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in heavy civil highway construction.
• Experience with FDOT contracts, specs and reporting.
• Current level: Assistant Superintendent, General Foreman or senior Foreman.
• OSHA 10 is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Based in Tampa Bay or Central Florida, or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Run subcontractors, foremen and crews day to day.
• Back up the Project Superintendent on planning and production.
• Keep daily reports, logs and field documentation current.
• Handle quality control in the field.
• Sit in meetings with the owner and FDOT inspectors.
• Coordinate equipment, material and deliveries.
• Own jobsite safety and toolbox talks.
• Track quantities and daily production.
• Travel between work areas on the project as needed.

An established heavy civil contractor is hiring an Assistant Project Superintendent for a design build highway job north of Tampa Bay. This is a strong opportunity for an Assistant Superintendent, or a General Foreman or Roadway Foreman ready to step up, who wants a stable employer and a real path to Superintendent. You'll back up the Project Superintendent and run subs, foremen and crews day to day, much of it FDOT work. Tampa Bay and Central Florida locals are great, and candidates ready to relocate are welcome.
