Job summary

Miller Valentine is seeking an Assistant Superintendent I to oversee field operations on construction projects, ensuring schedules, safety, and quality. This role requires coordinating subcontractors, monitoring progress, and maintaining effective communication with the project team.

The ideal candidate holds a 4-year degree and at least three years of construction experience, with a focus on contract documents and execution excellence.

Qualifications

• Education or equivalent: 4-year degree in Engineering, Construction, or Architecture.
• Formal engineering/architectural training and three years of building construction experience required.
• Strong communication skills with diverse teams; ability to train others.

Responsibilities

• Monitor field variations and keep the Project Superintendent informed.
• Ensure subcontractors meet schedules and deliver materials on time.
• Coordinate work among trades and supervise line and grade crews.
• Assist in training subordinates; ensure quality and safety compliance.
• Review safety programs, invoices, and field progress; perform other duties.
