Job summary

Select Construction is seeking an Assistant Project Manager / Superintendent for full-time, on-site work in the NYC/NJ area. You will support the COO, Project Managers, and Superintendents with day-to-day operations, travel between project sites as needed, and contribute to project success.

The ideal candidate has a construction background, is hands-on, motivated to learn, and ready to take on increasing responsibility while coordinating with subcontractors and field teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field; or 2+ years of relevant construction experience.
• Procore proficiency preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and a team player.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and project team members.
• Support field operations, sequencing, and the project schedule.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site.
• Read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP/FP drawings.
• Assist with submittals, RFIs, and project documentation.
• Prepare look-ahead schedules, daily logs, and photo reports.
• Help manage material deliveries, load-ins, and site logistics.
• Assist with project closeout and demobilization.
• Identify and communicate field issues promptly.

With a growing backlog of work, we are expanding our team and seeking an Assistant Project Manager / Superintendent to join us.

Position Overview
