Job summary

Contracting Specialists DC, LLC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support restoration projects in the Richmond, VA area. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and field personnel to ensure adherence to preservation standards and local codes.

Ideal candidates have a Civil/Construction background, 3+ years in restoration, and proficiency with Procore/Bluebeam. Travel to project sites and on-site work are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant construction experience in restoration.
• Familiarity with restoration techniques and historical guidelines preferred.
• Strong technical, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, and MS Office.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
• Willing to work on-site and travel to project locations.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers in day-to-day management of concrete and masonry restoration projects.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, and other documentation.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to gather technical data and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
• Track materials, equipment, and deliveries for efficient workflow.
• Prepare estimates, take-offs, and proposals during pre-construction.
