Flowtec Construction, a Chicago-area general contractor, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager and a Project Manager to join its growing team. The firm works on multifamily, commercial interiors, healthcare, hospitality, and specialty projects with values typically ranging from $5M to $60M+.

Qualifications

• Experience with a General Contractor in commercial construction.
• Experience managing commercial construction projects.
• Solid understanding of project documentation, budgets and schedules.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with office and field teams.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, subcontractors, and field teams.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders and procurement.
• Support and lead budgets, schedules, and forecasting.
• Monitor progress, costs, quality and performance.
• Lead project meetings.
• Identify risks and resolve issues with the team.
• Cultivate relationships with owners and partners.
• Take on increasing ownership as you progress.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects throughout the construction lifecycle, from preconstruction and procurement through delivery and closeout
• Coordinate closely with clients, architects, subcontractors and field teams
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders and procurement
• Support and lead project budgets, schedules and forecasting
• Monitor project progress, costs, quality and overall performance
• Participate in and lead project meetings
• Identify project risks and work with the wider team to resolve issues quickly
• Build and maintain strong relationships with owners and project partners
• Take on increasing ownership and responsibility as you progress within the business

What They Are Looking For
