Job summary

Primoris Heavy Civil is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support planning, scheduling, and budget management for heavy civil projects in the Houston area. You will assist in ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with quality work and safety compliance.

Responsibilities include documenting contracts, change orders, and cost tracking, while coordinating with clients, engineers, and field teams. A degree plus 2+ years of experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in heavy civil construction or related industry.
• Proficiency with project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and assist in developing solutions.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, contracts, and change orders.
• Assist in managing project costs, including tracking expenses and processing invoices.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction activities and ensure compliance with specifications and safety regulations.
• Facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and construction crews.
• Support the Project Manager in all aspects of project administration and oversight.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on project status.
• Contribute to the identification and mitigation of project risks.
