Job summary

Primoris Heavy Civil seeks a Project Engineer for its Laredo, TX office to support the project management team in planning, coordinating, and executing highway and infrastructure projects. You will assist in cost control, scheduling, document management, and subcontractor coordination while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include preparing submittals, RFIs, and progress reports, conducting site visits, and supporting procurement and communication across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Experience in heavy civil construction or related industry is preferred (0–3 years).
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, HCSS HeavyJob, and Bluebeam is a plus.
• Strong communication, organization, and planning skills.

• Prepare and review project documentation (submittals, RFIs, change orders, progress reports).
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with specs and safety regulations.

• Contribute to project closeout documents such as as-builts and operation manuals.
• Support safety program implementation on site.

Job Overview:Primoris Heavy Civil is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to join our heavy highway construction team for our Laredo, TX office. The Project Engineer will support the project management team in planning, coordinating, and executing various phases of highway and infrastructure projects.
