Metric Geo, a NYC interiors-focused General Contractor, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join its growing project management team. The firm delivers high-quality interiors across commercial, corporate, hospitality, retail, and residential sectors in New York City.

This role offers an excellent path for an ambitious construction professional looking to take on greater responsibility and develop toward a Project Manager position.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of construction experience, NYC GC preferred.
• Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, and subcontractor coordination.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers throughout the full project lifecycle, from preconstruction through closeout.
• Assist with project schedules, budgets, procurement, and cost tracking.
• Manage and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, designers, consultants, and clients.
• Assist with subcontractor buyout, scope reviews, and contract administration.
• Review drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Work closely with Superintendents and field teams to resolve project issues and maintain schedules.
