Job summary

MPI is seeking an motivated, entry-level Assistant Project Manager for a full-service General Contractor in the Miami-Dade market. The role supports project management through completion, budget control, and team leadership, with growth into a Project Manager track.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in construction, a related degree, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset. OSHA certification and strong communication are preferred. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of construction experience
  • Bachelor's Degree recommended in construction-related fields
  • Team player with a positive and driven attitude
  • Interest to estimate change orders, pay apps, etc.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Desire to advance to Project Manager
  • OSHA certified

Responsibilities

  • Provide project management assistance through completion of projects on time and under budget.
  • Manage and develop assigned staff toward maximum job performance and career potential.
  • Help create, review, negotiate, and work with the project team to process meeting minutes, Owner Change Orders, and requests for information.
  • Establish, communicate, and implement the Project Schedule.
  • Interpret and analyze reports to ensure adherence to project budget.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the details of the project.
  • Manage the Quality Assurance/Quality Control program.
  • Provide leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, and fee and pricing decisions

Job Description

The Successful Applicant
