Job summary

Kimmel Associates in Jacksonville, FL seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support planning, coordination, and execution of commercial mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will work with PMs, field supervision, clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to keep projects organized, on schedule, and within budget.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical construction or related field.
• OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 preferred.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and submittals.
• Proficiency with project management software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers in managing multiple commercial mechanical projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Track project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and critical dates.
• Assist with equipment and material procurement, buyout, and expediting.
• Coordinate deliveries and logistics with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Prepare, submit, and track submittals, RFIs, transmittals, and change-order logs.
• Assist with change-order pricing, documentation, and tracking.
• Help prepare schedules of values, monthly billings, and job-cost reports.
• Conduct jobsite walks and support inspections and field issue resolution.
• Maintain compliance with safety requirements, specifications, and codes.
• Maintain organized project documentation and records throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist with project closeout, including punch lists, O&M manuals, and as-built drawings.
• Attend project coordination meetings and owner/contractor meetings.
