Job summary

Auld & White Constructors in Jacksonville, FL is seeking motivated Managers In Training to join our team as Assistant Project Manager/Manager in Training on commercial projects across Northeast Florida. You will support the Project Manager with scheduling, client relations, and coordination of design documents.

Our MITs follow a structured development program with a clear path to Project Management, working closely with a knowledgeable team.

Qualifications

• Requires a four year college degree in Building Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
• 1-3 years' experience in Commercial Construction (including internships).
• Understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain relationships with vendors, clients, co-workers, and management.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in preparing project schedules, including updating the Master Project Schedule.
• Handle client, architect, and engineer relations.
• Prepare and secure Owner acceptance of all change orders.
• Assist in handling shop drawing control, review submittals, RFIs, and product data.
• Conduct weekly onsite progress meetings, documenting and distributing meeting agendas and minutes.
• Efficiently prepare and distribute RFIs.
• Oversee building systems commissioning.
• Assist in overseeing Punch List Inspections.
• Assist in warranty item follow-up with the Owner.

Position Description

• Assist Project Manager in preparing project schedules, including regular updating of the Master Project Schedule.
• Handle client, architect, and engineer relations.
• Prepare and secure Owner acceptance of all change orders.

• Assist in prompt follow-up on any warranty items with the Owner.
