Job summary

Auld & White Constructors in Jacksonville, FL is seeking field interns to gain hands-on experience across commercial construction projects. You will work alongside experienced pros on day-to-day site operations and contribute to projects throughout Northeast Florida.

This internship offers mentorship, on-site safety exposure, and a path to develop skills in coordination, documentation, and project communication while learning industry standards.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Building Construction Management or a related field.
• Available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in commercial construction.
• Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and contribute as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent with coordinating daily on-site activities, including subcontractor scheduling, material deliveries, and equipment logistics
• Assist with monitoring construction quality and ensuring work complies with project plans, specifications, and building codes
• Participate in safety meetings, inspections, and other activities that promote a safe working environment
• Assist with documenting project progress through daily logs, photographs, reports, and other project documentation
• Support the Superintendent with coordinating subcontractor activities, addressing issues, and ensuring work is completed according to project requirements
• Participate in meetings with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders
• Assist with communicating project updates, issues, and resolutions to project team members
• Gain exposure to construction practices, project management processes, and industry standards through hands‑on experience, training, and mentorship
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned
