Job summary

Zsg seeks an Assistant Project Manager to contribute to complex commercial projects in the Jacksonville, FL area. You will assist with scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, coordinating with subcontractors, architects, engineers, and owners, and supporting the full project lifecycle from preconstruction to closeout.

The ideal candidate brings 4+ years of commercial construction or related PM experience, with a background in general contracting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Construction, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• 4+ years of commercial construction or related project-management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills required.

Responsibilities

• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, and owners.
• Assist with scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Support subcontract and purchase order administration.
• Review subcontractor pay applications.
• Assist with estimating and preconstruction activities.
• Track project progress and help resolve schedule, cost, and coordination issues.
• Support projects from preconstruction through closeout.

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years of commercial construction or related project-management experience preferred.
• General contractor experience strongly preferred.
• Background as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, or similar role.
• Experience with commercial, healthcare, institutional, industrial, education, multifamily, or other complex projects.
• Working knowledge of RFIs, submittals, change orders, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and cost management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Construction, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
