Job summary

LVI Associates seeks an Assistant Project Manager in Chicago, IL to support all phases of commercial construction projects, from preconstruction through closeout. You will manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, and field staff.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in construction, strong PM process knowledge, and proficiency with MS Office; Procore/Bluebeam a plus. This role emphasizes safety, schedule, and budget adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree related to construction preferred.
• 2–5 years of commercial construction experience.
• Experience supporting ground-up or major renovation projects.
• Strong understanding of construction documents and PM processes.
• Proficiency with MS Office; Procore and Bluebeam a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with all phases from preconstruction through closeout.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field staff.
• Track schedules, budgets, procurement, and cost reporting.
• Support subcontractor buyout and contract administration.
• Participate in project meetings and maintain minutes.
• Help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Assist with project closeout documentation and turnover procedures.
