Position Overview
Assistant Project Manager
The Assistant Project Manager will support the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This individual will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, architects, and owners to help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities
- Assist with managing commercial construction projects throughout all phases of construction.
- Prepare, track, and manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and project documentation.
- Support subcontractor procurement, buyout, and contract administration activities.
- Coordinate project communications between clients, design teams, field personnel, and subcontractors.
- Assist in tracking project budgets, forecasts, change orders, and cost reports.
- Review drawings and specifications to identify potential conflicts and scope gaps.
- Participate in project meetings and maintain accurate meeting minutes and action items.
- Support project scheduling and monitor key milestones.
- Assist with permitting, inspections, and project closeout activities.
- Maintain organized project records and document control systems.
- Work with field teams to address project issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Promote jobsite safety, quality control, and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in commercial construction as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or similar role.
- Understanding of construction documents, contracts, scheduling, and project controls.
- Experience working with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project closeout documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
