MPI, a respected New York commercial interiors contractor, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support day-to-day management of interior construction projects in NYC. You will assist with planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating teams to deliver on-time results.

The Successful Applicant should have 2–5+ years in construction project management, experience on interior projects, and a degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years of experience in construction project management or project engineering.
• Experience on commercial interior projects (office/retail/hospitality).
• Strong knowledge of construction documents, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, and MS Office is highly desirable.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced New York construction environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Eagerness to learn and progress into a Project Manager role.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with day-to-day management of commercial interior projects.
• Support planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control activities.
• Review and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and procurement logs.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, architects, and ownership teams.
• Attend project meetings and document meeting minutes.
• Monitor schedules to meet milestones and deadlines.
• Assist with contract administration and project closeout procedures.
• Conduct site visits to track progress and ensure quality standards.
• Help manage project financials, including buyouts, forecasting, and invoicing.
