Job summary

Kelso Industries, based in Houston, TX, seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support industrial mechanical projects, including millwright/rigging, process piping, and structural steel. You will assist in developing and managing project documentation and help prepare budgets and construction schedules.

The ideal candidate holds a BS/BA in Building Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, with OSHA 30 and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Building Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• PMP/CCM certification would be a plus.
• OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR training.
• Knowledge of construction materials and equipment.
• Strong leadership and time-management abilities.
• Familiarity with contracts and subcontract documents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development, management, and storage of all project documentation.
• Support in budget development and construction scheduling.
• Assist in writing subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Coordinate subcontractors and monitor performance.
• Prepare and distribute RFIs for project clarifications.
• Work with PM and accounting to resolve cost discrepancies.
• Help price and formalize changes in project scope.
• Support safety, quality, and productivity initiatives on site.
