Job summary

Richard is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in Huntington, WV to act as day-to-day project lead and oversee assigned projects from start to close-out. The role requires prioritization, systematic thinking, risk-aware decision-making, and ensuring projects meet budget, schedule, and quality standards.

You will coordinate with owners, subs, and the home office, write contracts and manage subcontracts, SOVs, and project documentation while maintaining safety and compliance across all activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• 5–10 years' experience with a hard-bid general contracting company.
• A thorough understanding of construction materials, means, methods and building systems.
• Experience in healthcare or federal sector projects.
• Ability to pass a background investigation and a drug test.

Responsibilities

• Supervise project start up, project completion, punch list identification and entire close-out process.
• Provide leadership for multiple aspects of controls including costs, planning, scheduling, engineering, supervision and management of personnel.
• Communicate and coordinate with all project team members to maintain project schedule, safety, budget and quality control efforts.
• Plan and organize quality processes such as work planning, pre-activity meetings, material management, incident reports and corrective actions.
• Ability to write and comprehend RFIs, potential change orders, project schedules and 3-week look-aheads.
