Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management required.
• Experience on construction projects or administrative construction in an office setting preferred.
• Ability to read drawings and understand scope, cost changes, and constructability.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and qualifies subcontractors and vendors for assigned scopes of work.
• Prepares and transmits bid packages and invitations to bid.
• Receives and analyzes received bids; may negotiate and award subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Prepares and maintains purchase control log.
• Participates in design review meetings and reviews cost changes and constructability.
• May be responsible for permits tracking and expediting.
• Prepares detailed estimates and cost codes for cost control reports.
• Coordinates with accounting on payment requirements for subcontractors and vendors.
• Prepares/update progress schedules including short-term intervals.
• Assists in planning construction operations and sequences.
• Interacts with clients as directed by the project manager.
• Manages submittals, RFIs, and related logs.
• Supports superintendent with coordination, safety, and quality management.
• Assists in project close-out documentation.
