Ilocatum in Naples, FL is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for a heavy civil highway project. The role focuses on cost, schedule, subcontracts, and owner reporting, with potential for growth on a stable project team.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in construction management and a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field. On-site work in Southwest Florida is required, with relocation possible for the right person.

Qualifications

• 5+ years assisting or supervising increasingly complex construction work.
• Four year degree in Construction Management or Construction Science, or engineering/architecture with business/admin training.
• Able to coordinate multiple activities under pressure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Full time onsite in Naples (Southwest Florida).
• Heavy civil highway experience is a plus.
• FDOT project experience is a plus.
• Based in Southwest Florida or ready to relocate to the Naples area.

Responsibilities

• Plan cost, resources and schedule for the project.
• Administer subcontracts and manage subcontractor performance.
• Coordinate workers, materials and equipment with the field team.
• Interpret drawings, specifications and regulations for the team.
• Handle contracts, permits and licenses.
• Supervise assistant managers and engineers and review their reports.
• Correct safety issues on the job and back the safety program.
• Control the budget and hold the schedule.
• Report progress to owners, engineers and architects.
