Job summary

Clark Pacific is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to facilitate design, fabrication, and installation of building systems in Boise, Idaho. You will lead a small team of Project Engineers and oversee multiple projects, applying engineering, PM, problem‑solving, and communication skills across disciplines.

The role requires 2-5 years of Project Engineer experience and a BS in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (EIT preferred).

  • 2-5 years of experience as a Project Engineer or similar role.
  • BS in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • EIT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Exercise a high level of professionalism and confidentiality with staff, projects and proprietary information.
  • Build an efficient, high‑level communication flow with internal and external project partners.
  • Manage project documentation (Plans, RFIs, Submittals, Minutes) for alignment and consistency.
  • Assemble trade contracts for PM/Superintendent review.
  • Maintain on-site safety plans with PM/Superintendent (safety meetings, pre‑task planning).
  • Support field operations (scheduling, testing, inspections, look‑ahead schedules, daily reports).
  • Lead cost management from change identification through estimating and executing changes.

Pay or shift range

$95,000 USD to $140,000 USD. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job‑related reasons.

Description

At Clark Pacific, the Assistant Project Manager facilitates the successful design, fabrication, and installation of architectural and structural building systems. Working as part of an integrated team, within a specific business unit, this role applies engineering, project management, problem‑solving, and communication skills across all levels and disciplines within the organization. The Assistant Project Manager leads (generally 1 to 3) Project Engineers and works on multiple projects simultaneously.

Competitive Compensation Range: $95,000 – $140,000 annually, depending on experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Exercise a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when working with staff, projects and proprietary information.
  • Build an efficient, high‑level communication flow with all internal and external project partners.
  • Responsible for project documentation (Plans, Specifications, RFIs, Submittals, Meeting Minutes) coming from design and trade partners, ensuring alignment and consistency.
  • Assemble trade contracts for Project Manager/Superintendent review.
  • Collaborate with Project Manager and Superintendent on‑site safety plan maintenance and implementation (weekly safety meetings, pre‑task planning, accident investigation).
  • Partner with Project Managers and Superintendents to maintain and manage field operations (scheduling, testing, inspections, maintaining look‑ahead schedules, daily reports, quality management).
  • Lead cost management from identification of changes through estimating and execution of change orders.
  • Obtain and maintain individual safety and project management certifications (OSHA 30, LEED, SWPPP).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience as a successful Project Engineer required.
  • BS in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or an Engineering related degree required.
  • EIT certification preferred.

Education

Bachelors or better in Engineering or related field.

Experience

3-5 years: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering degree required.
