Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager/Environmental Scientist to support environmental assessment, permitting, compliance, and reporting for energy infrastructure projects in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

You will work with project managers to guide teams, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and interface with clients. Limited field work and report preparation may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related field is required or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree preferred in environmental/natural resources law, environmental science, planning, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support electric transmission, solar, wind, BESS and oil/gas pipeline projects through environmental assessments, permitting, agency coordination, compliance, and reporting.
• Coordinate tasks, schedules, budgets, and staff with project managers; prepare client updates and technical deliverables.
• Assist with field work, report writing, and permit application document preparation as needed.
• Mentor junior staff and help with scope development, proposals, and client communications.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, natural resources, biology, planning, environmental studies, or a related field

Master’s degree in environmental/natural resources law, environmental science, natural resources, planning, or a related field preferred
