Job summary

The Bobbitt Group is seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to coordinate information and authorizations for construction projects in the Carolinas. This exempt, salaried role reports to the Project Manager and supports a broad range of pre-construction, budgeting, scheduling, and communication activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business strongly preferred.
• 2–5 years of commercial construction experience, preferably with a commercial general contractor.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain adherence to safety standards and project documentation.
• Assist in creating and managing project budgets for assigned projects.
• Develop pre-construction RFP packages and coordinate meetings and owner reports.
• Establish job processes (RFIs, submittals, pay apps) and approve change orders.
• Update schedules and quality control; support project closeout and site operations.
