Job summary

MPI in Charleston seeks an Assistant Project Manager for Custom Home Builder projects. You will support planning, budgeting, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of high-end residential builds.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a similar role on residential or multifamily projects, a BS in Construction Management is preferred, and familiarity with construction software is beneficial. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager on residential or multifamily projects.
• Custom home & interior design experience highly preferred.
• BS in Construction Management or related field (preferred).
• Familiarity with construction software.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Documentation: Assist in defining project scope, preparing contracts, permits, and compliance records.
• Budget Management: Help create and manage project budgets while monitoring expenses.
• Resource Allocation: Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials to meet timelines efficiently.
• Scheduling: Assist in developing and adjusting project schedules to stay on track.
• Subcontractor Coordination: Manage subcontractor communication, contracts, and performance.
• Quality & Safety Oversight: Conduct site inspections and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Client Communication: Provide regular updates and address client inquiries professionally.
• Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve project challenges.
• Documentation Management: Maintain organized records and assist in reporting project
