Job summary

Nabholz Construction in Florida seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support Project Managers and Engineers in buyout, documentation, and close-out. The role emphasizes cost projections, bid analysis, and vendor coordination to ensure procurement compliance and timely project delivery.

Ideal candidates hold a 4-year construction degree, have 3+ years in project engineering, and are adept with MS Office and Sage 300; OSHA 10-hour training is preferred.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Construction Management/Construction Science preferred.
• At least 3 years of project engineering in commercial construction.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to present to groups during project interviews/meetings.
• OSHA 10-hour training and proficiency with MS Office tools.
• Sage 300 Construction & Real Estate experience; scheduling software familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Understand project documents including drawings and addenda.
• Assist PM in evaluating bid packages and vendor bids; create commitments.
• Assist PM with accurate cost projections.
• Solicit and evaluate change orders and pricing from vendors.
• Administer document control for all project documentation.
• Document meetings and distribute minutes to the project team.
• Maintain timeline and develop look-ahead schedules with PM.
• Promote jobsite safety; participate in safety meetings and site walks.
• Coordinate with governmental agencies from permitting to occupancy.
• Assist in timely closeout of commitments and project documents.
