Job summary

Garney is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support planning, coordination, and successful execution of construction projects. The role involves working with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure safety, schedule adherence, and budget control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 1–3 years of project coordination, construction, or field experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with project scheduling software.
• Working knowledge of construction documents, project processes, and industry best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Coordinate and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and procurement activities.
• Support jobsite operations and subcontractor performance and compliance.
• Attend project meetings and document action items and decisions.
• Assist in preparation and review of project reports, forecasts, and billing.
• Communicate with internal teams, clients, vendors, and partners for alignment.
• Conduct site visits to support field teams and ensure quality standards.
• Maintain organized project records and assist with contract compliance.
• Monitor project risks and support safety/environmental compliance.
