Job summary

Garney is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support planning, coordination, and execution of construction and infrastructure projects. You will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, with 1–3 years of project coordination or field experience being preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is required
• 1–3 years of project coordination, construction, or field experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with project scheduling software

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
• Coordinate and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and procurement activities
• Support jobsite operations and manage subcontractor performance and compliance
• Attend project meetings and document action items, key decisions, and next steps
• Prepare and review project reports, forecasts, and billing documentation
• Communicate with internal teams, clients, vendors, and project partners to ensure alignment
• Conduct site visits to support field teams, verify progress, and ensure quality standards
• Maintain organized project records and assist with contract compliance requirements
• Monitor project risks and support safety and environmental compliance initiatives
