Garney Construction seeks an Assistant Project Manager in Florida to support planning, coordination, and execution of construction and infrastructure projects with cross-functional teams. You will help develop schedules, budgets, track submittals, manage procurement, and contribute to reports and contract compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering and 1–3 years of relevant experience, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 1–3 years of project coordination, construction, or field experience.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with project scheduling software.
• Working knowledge of construction documents, project processes, and industry best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
• Desire to grow into a leadership role within project management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
• Coordinate and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and procurement activities
• Support jobsite operations and assist in managing subcontractor performance and compliance
• Attend project meetings and document action items, key decisions, and next steps
• Assist in the preparation and review of project reports, forecasts, and billing documentation
• Communicate with internal teams, clients, vendors, and project partners to ensure project alignment
• Conduct site visits to support field teams, verify progress, and ensure quality standards are met
• Maintain organized project records and assist with contract compliance requirements
• Monitor project risks and support safety and environmental compliance initiatives
