Job summary

CBI Construction is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to collaborate with the Project Management and field teams. You will ensure safety, quality, scheduling and budgets meet company standards across active projects, reporting to the Project Manager.

The role demands organizational excellence, strong communication and problem-solving skills, with relocation to project sites as needed and a willingness to work extended schedules to meet milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years' professional experience in construction management from preconstruction through close-out.
• Understanding of coordination among design disciplines and trade partners.
• Experience sequencing construction stages.
• Strong problem solving and creative thinking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated and adaptable.
• Strong business sense and professional demeanor.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and specs to determine project requirements and trade scopes.
• Create schedules with PM and field teams to meet delivery objectives.
• Ensure alignment with preconstruction estimates during buyout and construction.
• Formulate SOVs for subcontracts and distribute to trade partners.
• Prepare LOIs, PO's, subcontracts and related paperwork.
• Maintain trade partner contact lists and document submittals.
