Job summary

W.T. Rich Company, a Worcester-based construction firm, seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support Project Managers in delivering client-focused services. You will help with project setup, coordination with owners, subcontractors, and staff, and management of project activity from pre-construction to close-out.

A BS in Construction Management or related field is required; MS is a plus. 2–4 years of experience with a commercial general contractor is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or other relative degree.
• MS degree in related fields is a plus.
• 2-4 years of experience in construction management with a commercial general contractor / construction manager.
• Experience with Procore, MS Office Suites, Revit, AutoCAD or other PM software a plus.
• Experience managing small projects or as part of a project team on larger, more complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating and working with clients, owners, subs and W.T. Rich staff.
• Project set up, project execution, project closeout, financial management and relationship management.
• Managing the construction administration process from pre-construction through close-out, including reviewing and tracking contracts; pricing; purchase orders; change orders; shop drawings; submittals; and RFIs, all using Procore.
• Submitting building permits and following up on relevant issues.
• Capturing and distributing weekly meeting minutes.
• Write descriptions of work for purchase orders and subcontractor Scope of Work sheets.
• Assist Project Manager with other duties that develop
