Assistant Project Manager (APM)

The Assistant Project Manager (APM) assists the Project Manager in planning, execution, delivery, close-out, and the overall success of a specific project from start to finish. The APM works with the Project Manager (PM) and the Project Team to solicit and qualify bids, manage contract documents, track and expedite material procurement, update the project schedule, ensure quality, and help manage the overall construction process.

Requirements

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or relevant experience
• 4+ years of construction experience
• 1+ year of experience working on projects valued at $25M or more
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project

What You’ll Do

• Assist the PM in the buyout of assigned trades
• Develop detailed Scope of Work and Schedule of Values (SOV) for each assigned trade
• Coordinate with design consultants for onsite inspections, box walks, punch list walks, etc.
• Monitor all materials test reports for compliance with standards and specifications
• Prepare and manage RFI and Submittal logs
• Assist with final punch list preparations for subcontractors and ensure all items are completed before release of retainage payment
