Job summary

NexGen Contracting is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our growing team. The role focuses on supporting project coordination, scheduling, budgeting and reporting to keep construction on track.

You will work within a collaborative team, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, while maintaining site safety and documentation. This position requires a degree and relevant experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and a minimum of three years related experience.
• Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet and email applications; working knowledge of scheduling applications.
• Energetic, self-motivated team player with collaboration and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update and monitor job progress using QMS program, including scheduling, estimating and budgeting to ensure project timeline.
• Perform quantity take off(s), cost estimates and bid solicitation.
• Purchase and coordinate delivery of materials, ensuring price, quality and conformance to specs and budget.
• Review invoices and change orders; negotiate with subcontractors and vendors for scope.
• Attend weekly job site meetings and prepare reports on project status and progress.
