Job summary

NexGen is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee all concrete project management nationwide. The role focuses on coordinating field operations, scheduling, safety, and client satisfaction while aligning with Gray Construction’s standards.

This leadership position offers oversight across multiple states, emphasizing high-quality execution, process improvement, and collaboration with the corporate team to meet project objectives and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Plan and review compensation actions; enforce policies and procedures.
• Forecast requirements; prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiate corrective actions for the corporate office and executive operations.
• Analyze and improve organizational processes and workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout; implement changes.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, reporting, and enforcing standards and procedures; comply with legal regulations.
• Onboarding introductions to new hires, safety debrief, etc.
• Meet or exceed operations labor budget for the corporate office; manage staff levels, wages, hours, contract labor to revenues.
• Run a safe, injury-free workplace.
• Manage relationships with key operations vendors.
• Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience.
• Organize and manage schedules for the executive team; prepare correspondence and presentations.
