Job summary

Actalent in Columbus, IN, seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support commercial and heavy-civil construction projects. You will collaborate with the Civil Division leadership, project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and safety personnel to ensure successful delivery.

The role emphasizes administration, scheduling, RFIs, submittals, and cost tracking within a busy office and field environment. Onsite presence is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of directly relevant construction-management experience
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field, or an associate degree with 3+ years construction knowledge
• Experience in commercial, civil, heavy-highway, infrastructure, or design-build construction
• Proficiency with Procore Scheduling software
• Experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, project schedules, cost tracking, or construction document control

Responsibilities

• Manage construction documents.
• Handle RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Conduct contract administration and project scheduling.
• Track project costs and review bids.
• Support estimating and purchasing activities.
• Coordinate between field and office personnel.
• Facilitate project closeout processes.
